In this 5 Day Lead Challenge review, you’ll learn everything inside this brand new Russell Brunson free course.
If you know Russell, he loves to share and inspire digital entrepreneurs to grow their online businesses. And he does that by teaching them how to build sales funnels that convert.
Russell’s core business is ClickFunnels, the top funnel builder loved by millions. So, like all other pieces of training he puts out there, the 5 Day Lead Challenge is all about the strategies and frameworks to attract leads using lead funnels.
Why is the 5 Day Lead Challenge a free training? Well, at ClickFunnels, they have this philosophy:
If we can’t make you money, we don’t deserve any of yours.ClickFunnels’ philosophy
Russell’s goal is to make you money, and hopefully, you’ll consider using ClickFunnels to grow your business (that’s Russell’s ulterior motive).
So let’s start this 5 Day Lead Challenge review.
The 5 Day Lead Challenge is a free 5-day course that walks you through a simple approach for generating an infinite stream of new leads for your business.
In the 5 Day Lead Challenge, Russell shares some of his tips and tricks to generate unlimited leads online for people who are selling products or services. It’s a free video training program that will help you build your own lead generation funnel in just five days.
Russell has developed this process over many years and is designed to help anyone — no matter what their experience level — create a list of qualified leads within just five days.
Russell Brunson’s 5 Day Lead Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about prospecting, generating leads, and growing your business, even if you’re an established marketer.
I’ve taken this challenge myself, and it has helped me in areas where I already felt like I was pretty good. My takeaway was that there are always better ways out there to do stuff, and there were a few new areas covered in this challenge that I am excited to use in my own business.
Here’s a summary of what’s included in the 5 Day Lead Challenge.
- Day 1: Unlimited Leads. Russell shows you the high-level strategy he’s been using to generate consistent leads over time.
- Day 2: Build Your First Lead Magnet. You’ll learn to create an attractive lead magnet to get people to come to you.
- Day 3: Create a Lead Funnel. In this lesson, you’ll learn to create a funnel specifically designed to convert your prospects into leads.
- Day 4: Create An Email Follow-up Funnel. You’ll learn how to build a relationship with your leads and nurture them.
- Day 5: Launch Your Funnel. This is where you’ll learn how to launch your funnel into the web.
The 5 Day Lead Challenge is unique in that it is not only given by Russell Brunson. He also invited Yara Golden and Rachel Miller as guest hosts.
Who are the 5 Day Lead Challenge coaches?
Russell Brunson is one of the co-founders of ClickFunnels, a marketing automation software company. He will share his method for creating a lead magnet that will attract the type of clients you want for your business. He will also show you how to include your lead magnet into a straightforward sales funnel known as the “Lead Squeeze Funnel.”
Yara Golden is an experienced copywriter with a strong background in narration. In this course, she will show you how to create a simple six-email follow-up funnel that will help you build relationships with your leads and make them more likely to purchase from you.
Rachel Miller is a seven-figure entrepreneur who has written several best-selling books. Currently, she works with businesses to help them get their content in front of more than 10 million people without spending little or no money on advertising. She will demonstrate how to launch your funnel without the need for paid ads.
In this 5 Day Lead Challenge review, I’ll break down all lessons to their most important teachings.
On the first day of the 5 Day Lead Challenge, Russell will walk you through the high-level strategy that ClickFunnels employs to produce leads on demand from the Internet.
This lesson is all about understanding the strategy and how it works. It’s the only “lecture” day of the challenge, as all other lessons are practical.
He’ll give you a unique link to a Onepager assignment where you’ll get a tactical video as soon as he’s finished. While Russell gives you the strategy you need to understand on this first day, the tactical video shows Russell at his house doing what he’s teaching you how to do.
Most times, people understand conceptually what Russell teaches, but they don’t know how to implement it when it comes down to practice. In the tactical video inside the Onepager, he’s allowing you to copy exactly what he’s doing.
Here are some of the concepts you’ll learn from Russell on the first day of the challenge:
- What are leads?
- What’s the value of an email list?
- The marketing math that excited Russell.
- Russell’s beginner experience dealing with leads and email lists.
- What is a lead magnet?
- An overview of what will happen in the next days of the challenge.
If you know Russell Brunson, you’ll notice he’s always ecstatic when he’s speaking about funnels and marketing. It’s like his mouth is on steroids — he doesn’t stop!
On day 2, Russell starts by showing some real-life examples of using lead magnets for traditional brick-and-mortar businesses. In these examples, you’ll see why having an email list (even if you don’t have an online business) is so important.
Lead magnets work for any type of business. You just have to think outside the box and try to figure out how you can attract your dream customers.
Russell goes deep into frameworks on this day of the 5 Day Lead Challenge.
Here’s how you find your lead magnet:
- What’s your dream customer?
- What is the major result you can give your dream customer?
- What are the steps to get to that result (the framework)?
The framework becomes your lead magnet.
For example, Russell Brunson’s free books are all lead magnets:
- DotCom Secrets – all the sales funnels frameworks (how to create sales funnels).
- Expert Secrets – Frameworks of how to tell stories to convert people inside your funnels.
- Traffic Secrets – All the frameworks to get traffic.
Understanding frameworks is the key to building lead magnets and creating products and services. Your value is your own framework.
Ultimate result, core results, and splinter results
Russell also explains the distinction between the ultimate result, the core results, and the splinter results.
Here’s an example:
- Ultimate result: grow your company through sales funnels.
- Core results: how to create a webinar, how to drive traffic, and how to write good copy.
- Splinter results: how to create a webinar funnel, how to get people to show up to a webinar, etc.
While the ultimate result is not so “sexy” and appealing, the core results and splinter frameworks are and will help people get the ultimate result. These splinter results (that are also frameworks) are more specific and will become your actual lead magnets or products.
The more specific your results are, the sexiest they will be, attracting more leads.
In Russell’s case, the DotCom Secrets, Expert Secrets, and Traffic Secrets books are all core results that help his dream customer get the ultimate result — grow their business with sales funnels. These core results have further frameworks (the splinter results) that he can use as a lead magnet.
Russell also explains the framework for teaching frameworks. If you don’t do this, your prospects won’t respect what you’re trying to give them. This is the pre-frame to get someone prepared to be worthy of what you’re trying to give them. This framework increases the perceived value of your lead magnet.
If you don’t get anything else from the challenge, learning this last framework will change how you do business. I highly recommend you go through it.
Russell also provides another Onepager homework assignment in which he walks you through another video to help you put what you’ve learned into practice.
Day 3 of the 5 Day Lead Challenge is all about the tools you will use to exchange your prospect’s email address with your lead magnet. Russell will teach you how to build a funnel to give away your lead magnet for free.
A lot of what Russell teaches in this lesson comes from the DotCom Secrets book. You can get it for free here (they only charge shipping).
Russell starts by sharing one of the core principles of any successful business: the value ladder.
You can learn more about it in my value ladder guide.
On this day’s assignment, Russell will walk you through building a two-step funnel:
- Squeeze page. This is the lead squeeze funnel, the page you capture people’s email addresses.
- Thank you page. This is where you people can download your free lead magnet.
Russell recommends using ClickFunnels for this since he provides free access to six pre-built high-converting sharing funnels that you can quickly customize for your specific business.
What’s more, you’ll also get access to a free lite version of Funnel Scripts. This copywriting software eliminates all of the headaches associated with producing content on your own and allows you to automate all of your copywriting needs, whether it’s a funnel headline, a sales letter, or an ad post.
Like in previous lessons, Russell will show you exactly how to import your copy of the funnels inside your ClickFunnels account and customize them. You can get a free ClickFunnels 14-day trial to test these funnels.
On day 4, Russell presents Yara Golden, the co-host for this day’s lesson.
She gives a bit of her relationship backstory and how she transitioned to helping entrepreneurs rewrite their story so it comes from a place of authenticity and confidence in themselves and their abilities.
She breaks down what she calls the warm-up sequence: the six questions to help you and your actual leads get to know each other. Basically, she took the framework of how you meet someone in person 1-on-1 and do the same thing with an email sequence.
This builds a logical progression in your story and connects the dots for them as to why it is you do what you do.
In the Onepager assignment, Yara reads her personal six-email sequence (she writes very long emails). There are bullet points to help you with the structure of your narrative for each email.
Besides Yara’s email sequence, you’ll also get access to a free email copy generator that will help you automatically create your six-email sequence. This artificial intelligence tool is mind-blowing! It’ll save you a huge amount of time, so check it out.
On the last day of the 5 Day Lead Challenge, Russell invites Rachel Miller, who’s going to teach you free traffic strategies.
Rachel talks about the three primary places that people go to collect leads and drive traffic:
- Facebook personal profile. She gives you three steps to set up your public profile and attract only your dream customers.
- Facebook groups. What should you focus on in groups?
- Facebook page. Learn how to set up your page for optimal conversion.
Inside the Onepager assignment, Rachel walks you through these three places using her own Facebook profile and page.
She’ll even teach you how to segment your Facebook friends list just like you do on email marketing software. The difference is it’s free.
Here I’ll try to give you my perspective on what I like and don’t like about the 5 Day Lead Challenge.
This is probably the best presentation about getting targeted leads into your business.
Russell Brunson, as usual, outperforms expectations with extreme passion. You can tell by the amount of energy he radiates when speaking.
5 Day Lead Challenge Pros:
- You learn the exact way Russell and his team acquire leads.
- You’ll learn to understand your frameworks and how to create effective lead magnets for your business.
- You have pre-built funnels you can start using. If you already use other funnel builders, you can model these funnels.
- You’ll get a step-by-step framework for creating a warm-up email sequence to nurture your leads and make them trust you.
- You will learn practical ways to use Facebook as a free traffic source.
- You’ll get access to free software, including Funnel Scripts and Email Copy Generator.
5 Day Lead Challenge Cons:
- You’ll have to use ClickFunnels to import the pre-built funnels and start using them immediately. If you don’t want to spend $97 on a ClickFunnels account, you can try a free funnel builder called Systeme.io that already includes email automation.
- You need separate software to implement your email sequence, which increases costs.
- Russell “pitches” the One Funnel Away Challenge (priced at $100) several times throughout the challenge. It’s a 30-day live challenge where you’ll learn how to build funnels in greater depth. You can read my One Funnel Away Challenge detailed review here. However, if this free 5 Day Lead Challenge is jam-packed with tons of valuable information, just imagine the OFA Challenge…
Ultimately, there is nothing to lose when you join the 5 Day Lead Challenge. In fact, you have a lot to gain, as you’ll get access to amazing frameworks and free software that automates copywriting.
Russell is wholly devoted to ClickFunnels’ philosophy: if you don’t make money, they don’t deserve any of yours.

The 5 Day Lead Challenge was created for entrepreneurs, small business owners, marketing agencies, and online marketers who want stupid simple tactics to get more leads.

How do I get leads for my business?
To get leads for any business, people must go through a simple funnel called “lead capture page” or “squeeze page” where they’ll exchange their email address for a lead magnet you’re offering.
What’s a lead magnet?
A lead magnet is a marketing term referring to a free item or service offered in exchange for contact information such as an email address. Examples include trial subscriptions, ebooks, samples, newsletters, and free consultations. Lead magnets are used by marketers to generate sales leads.
Do I need a ClickFunnels account to partake in the 5 Day Lead Challenge?
You don’t need a ClickFunnels account to participate in the 5 Day Lead Challenge; you may create your funnel with any other sales funnel builder software. However, you wouldn’t be able to use the easy-to-customize pre-built ClickFunnels templates you’ll receive as part of the challenge, which could slow you down.
What’s the difference between the 5 Day Lead Challenge and the One Funnel Away Challenge?
During the 5 Day Lead Challenge, you will learn how to develop and deploy a simple lead funnel in just five days. As opposed to this, the One Funnel Away Challenge is a 30-day training program that guides you through creating complete sales funnels (which could include lead generation funnels, application funnels, book funnels, or any other funnel) that are tailored to your specific business needs. Both are trainings from Russell Brunson.
We all know one of the most effective ways to build a business in any industry is to have a continual stream of new leads coming in. I don’t necessarily mean just new warm leads, but leads that are already greased.
From my experience, once you get their interest, getting them through the door and closing that sale is the hard part. You’ll want some sort of follow-up system that can do just that for you — and the 5 Day Lead Challenge delivers that to you.
I would strongly recommend that any entrepreneur or business marketer take the 5 Day Lead Challenge, as it will help you think about new ways to prospect, generate leads, and grow your business — all in just five days.
What’s more, the free software bonuses are a must!
